With finishes in various metallic leaf, fine furniture grade veneers, hand-rubbed waxes and stains and a variety of special textures, our picture framing mouldings are the perfect way to complete your important artworks or objects. And with thousands from which to choose, along with our experienced design advice, we guarantee that all your readymade and custom frame decisions will be the right ones.

Types of Mouldings:

Solid Wood
There are many types of wood used in framing moulding. Some are produced overseas, but most wood comes from the USA. Among the woods we use are: walnut, cherry, oak, ash, basswood and poplar.

Metal
Most metal mouldings are extruded aluminum. The final finishes may be anodized colors or painted. Some are even textured. We carry a variety of metal moulding shapes and finishes.

Plastic
Often used in mass produced frames, vinyl plastic moulding is often of inferior quality and typically does not stand the test of time when compared to wood or metal mouldings. We do not carry this type of moulding.

Resin
While still a synthetic product, this type of moulding is typically made in to frames of standard readymade sizes and is often hand finished. We do carry this high quality product and it works especially well for mirrors.

“Green”
In addition to the renewable resources used to make solid wood mouldings, we also carry mouldings made with all wood fiber. This is commonly referred to as “MDF” (Medium Density Fiberboard). These mouldings are formed using new and recycled wood that is ground and pressed into forms. They are cut and joined just like our solid wood mouldings.
